Description

 The Cheltenham Panama is named after our favourite event in the year - a day at the races! Often referred to as a Fedora Panama Hat , this stylish hat has a medium to wide brim and a soft Snap Brim at the back. This Panama is incredibly lightweight and is great protection on a hot day and is woven in a standard "Cuenca" herringbone weave. This hat is finished by hand in our Bedfordshire factory with a classic navy band.

Measurements: Brim: approx. 7cm/ 3in. Crown: height approx. 9cm/ 3.5in.

Material: Toquilla straw.

+ A great packing tip is to pack the crown tightly with soft items, and then place face down in between some clothes in your suitcase (make a 'well') and then pack some items flat over the brim to keep it from moving in your suitcase. If your hat mis shapes it can be lightly ironed in between a towel with some steam to reshape the brim (only).

This is a Genuine Panama Hat woven in Ecuador, and made by hand in our Bedfordshire factory using traditional hat making machines

Please note this hat is not foldable. This short brimmed Panama is is a modern twist on the the classic trilby. It has a soft brown satin inner band and is customisable with a choice of different trims which will be hand sewn for you by our Hat Makers in our Bedfordshire Hat Factory.

    I bought this for my husbands 60th birthday he loves it we are going on a cruise soon for our 10th wedding anniversary so it should be perfect

    I bought this for a wedding recently. The forecast was hot in the UK. (Not as hot as here in France!) Having worn shorts for the past four years, I was concerned about getting too hot. I'd also had recent eye surgery and wanted to avoid wearing sunglasses all of the time. What a great choice! I had some nice compliments and actually felt quite dapper! I wasn't aware until after it had arrived, that it didn't fold. However, that's a small issue. It the 35C+ heat, sitting outside in the sun, I felt quite cool. If you've half a mind to get one, go for it! Thanks very much for the Lady that made sure it arrived on time. I should have thought about it earlier!
