Description

The most classic of all panamas, the Folder Panama (often referred to as Colonial) in a Cuenca/herringbone weave has a distinct crease in the centre, allowing it to roll with maximum ease and retain its shape, so is ideal for frequent travel. This is the most timeless style, being historically associated with likes of Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.  Also available in a standard Cuenca 3/5 weave and our luxurious Optimo 15. Supplied with folding instructions - Travelling tube NOT included. Brim size (approx) = 6.5cm / 2½ in     Crown height (approx) = 11cm / 4¼ in      Need help with sizing?  Please see our video below.     I already have one hat from The Panama Hat Company (a Cuenca Fino Trilby) so I knew what to expect. I was not disappointed! I needed another hat for travelling so didn't hesitate in choosing this 'folder' - from the same place.

    Beautiful folding panama

    Ordered my folding panama over the phone as I had a few questions before i ordered and they couldn't be more helpful. I was a little worried that i'd ordered the correct size as i hadn't had to measure my head before, but my new hat is a perfect fit and I needn't have worried at all. Expertly packaged up in its box too and undamaged by it journey to my living room. My new hat is about to have a lovely holiday now as it arrived just in time

    An essential hat for every gentleman

    My husband and I have been living in China for some years, and in the hot summers here his panama hat is a vital piece of kit. This is actually the 3rd hat he has had, and they are always much admired. The hats have been up and down the Yangtze River a few times, been covered in the dust of the Gobi Desert, shaded him on various sections of the Great Wall of China, and appeared at the Queen's Birthday Party held in the British Embassy each year. Rolled, folded, packed - lord knows what else he does to them, however your hats are so well made they stand up to all sorts of brutal treatment! When they are beginning to look a little worn, I replace them with a new one, and the older one goes off to my daughter in India where it gets a new lease of life. I couldn't recommend them more highly even if they are just for wearing at Lords, or at a local fete (in which case the hat will probably outlast the wearer).

    Went for a folder , I was doing Henley Regatta and a Panama hat is part of the uniform. I had the hat on all day , it is light weight and did the job what it was designed for . Quiet bizarre chaps don't know a proper Panama from a straw hat . Quality , fit and delivery : excellent !

    Quality hat but a little loose for the measure

    Excellent quality hat but a little too big. I measured my head at 61 cm and ordered a 7.5. Just a little on the loose side. Might have to get add another hat band inside to tighten it up. Delivery to Australia was quick and I was kept updated on the progress of the delivery. Thank you Panama Hats.
