This time I got the size right, and the hat is excellent in every way as a result. If in doubt, I suggest you err on the large size as the hats are supplied with bits of foam so you can pad out the difference. They won;t help if you go too small, of course!

Couldn’t be happier with the quality of my new Trilby Panama hat. I was a bit apprehensive before ordering as I was worried about paying so much money for a hat and also worried that I would measure my head wrongly and end up with an ill fitting hat. Shouldn’t have worried on either account, the ‘How to measure’ guide on the website is excellent and resulted in the purchase of a well fitting hat. And the quality of the hat? Also excellent, I’m really pleased and look forward to this hat accompanying me on my travels home and abroad for many years.

I’ve worn it a few times now on my Asian holiday and it does its job very well. I’ll probably need to get a sweat band though to protect the outer band. My first time with a Panama and it’s great to be able to get a hat that fits!
