Description

The most classic of all panamas, the Folder Panama (often referred to as Colonial) in a Cuenca/herringbone weave has a distinct crease in the centre, allowing it to roll with maximum ease and retain its shape, so is ideal for frequent travel. This is the most timeless style, being historically associated with likes of Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.  Also available in a standard Cuenca 3/5 weave and our luxurious Optimo 15. Supplied with folding instructions - Travelling tube NOT included. Brim size (approx) = 6.5cm / 2½ in     Crown height (approx) = 11cm / 4¼ in      Need help with sizing?  Please see our video below.     pefectly shipped to me in Sweden, I measured 57 centimeters around my head and ordered a 57 cm hat. Perfect fit, very nice. thanks!

    Wavy brimmed hat

    I bought this to go to Lisbon - it was cool, very light & folded easily. The brim is however wavy - which looks odd. I didn't think that was part of the desired effect? Delivery etc excellent.

    A superbly crafted product which has stood the test of time. You can feel the quality as soon as you put it on. Mine arrived yesterday and was worn all day at the Hampton Court Flower Show today - it was excellent. Great fit and provides great shade from the summer sun for those of us getting a bit thin on top!

    Having bought panamas from other suppliers, I suddenly found none could supply my size and were unwilling to try. Quite unlike the PHC who rummaged through boxes (I could hear them on the phone) and came up with exactly what I wanted, and posted it immediately. This is a perfect panama, soft and light to wear, with no snags or dents, and the better for being a folder.

    After my first experience of The Panama Hat Company I cannot speak too highly of the excellent product and the wonderful service. I needed to exchange my hat(with special hat-band) for a smaller size. I was amazed at how quickly and courteously it was handled by the friendly and caring staff. A wonderful family run business.     The Cuenca Fino 8/10 is the fourth hat I have bought from The Panama HatCompany. This repetition does NOT reflect problems with the previous ones -- quite the reverse. The hats are excellent (and durable), and the service is excellent. I have multiple panamas because I like them very much, because it is helpful to me to have different hats in different places, and because I am self-indulgent.
