Description

The Folder Panama (Cuenca 3/5), often referred to as the Colonial is the most classic of all Panama styles.

Woven in a traditional Cuenca (herringbone) weave, it features a distinctive centre crease that allows the hat to roll with ease while retaining its shape. Designed with travel in mind, this timeless piece is ideal for frequent flyers and summer adventures.

Historically associated with iconic figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, the Folder Panama remains one of the most enduring and recognisable hat styles ever created.

Also available in a finer Cuenca 8/10 weave for those seeking an even more refined finish.

    So pleased with my hat! Had thought about for ages and chose wrong hat for me first time around. With excellent advice on phone, changed to this one and it is perfect and has travelled well folded in my suitcase, too.

    I haven't worn it yet but both the appearance and the quality look good. Not the cheapest available, but everything so far suggests good value for the money paid. Quick and helpful answer to my question about sizing. Very prompt delivery even though I only paid for the standard service. Small foam pads to improve fit work remarkably well. They didn't look as though they would be effective, but they are extremely good! I haven't tried to fold it yet, it seems to require a leap of faith. But it will be spending over 36 hours folded into a tube and packed in a suitcase in a few days time so that will be a good test. So far I am pleased that I bought my hat from the Panama Hat Co.

    And worn it once. Time will tell if it retains its shape and does not discolour from sweat or light rain.

    The hat arrived promptly, and was packaged well. It appears to be a quality product and looks good. It replaces a worn out "genuine panama hat" from M&S which I see was made in China!
