Description

The Folder Panama (Cuenca 3/5), often referred to as the Colonial is the most classic of all Panama styles.

Woven in a traditional Cuenca (herringbone) weave, it features a distinctive centre crease that allows the hat to roll with ease while retaining its shape. Designed with travel in mind, this timeless piece is ideal for frequent flyers and summer adventures.

Historically associated with iconic figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, the Folder Panama remains one of the most enduring and recognisable hat styles ever created.

Also available in a finer Cuenca 8/10 weave for those seeking an even more refined finish.

    Excellent Quality but no so good customer service.

    You can buy a cheaper Panama Hat from other on-line retailers but when you look at the quality of the weave they are definitely inferior. I looked at this weave using the magnification technique available of most computers. Using their hat size guide does depend how far above the ears that you put the tape-measure. I found that it is easy to measure larger than you actually need. A better option is simply to measure an existing hat that fits you. I am very pleased to have bought my hat but I forgot to order a tube. I sent an email to the company requesting one but they were slow replying hence the low star rating. If I had received a prompt reply I would have given 5 stars. Their product is excellent but in my opinion their customer service was a bit lacking.

    Very impressed with how quickly it arrived. Loved the panama folder which I bought as a present for my husband, just picked the wrong size. About to return it and exchange for next size up! Hopefully all will we ok when it arrives

    Perfect compromise......for me

    Turns out my head is even bigger than I thought and so after measuring it three times and sending it back once I finally own a hat that kinda fits me (my fault not the hat, nor the service which was excemplary). This s my first grown up "sun" hat which I plan to take on my Indian adventures. The first hat I asked for was the 8/10 the replacement/larger hat I asked fir a downgrade to the 3/5. You can definitely see and feel the difference in the step down in "quality" but for me the revised price point and ability to fold was more important on my first trip out. If its a success and I have the confidence to wear it then I will be back for the "fino" The fact your reading this suggests you have some ambition about you and you fancy a change - go for it!

    Dear PHC, I am very pleased and feel this is a good 1st panama.It is a little loose (slighlty) but the classic design makes me feel confident.I am going to wear it at the paralymucs.So many people are buying 'cowboy'style hats that are fake panamas from sainsbury and m & s.I look forward to upgrading my panama with you for next year and I will be precise with my measurement love the classic design of the top
