Description

The Folder Panama Hat – Brisa 3/5 is the most classic and timeless of all Panama hat styles. Also known as the Colonial, this elegant folding Panama is woven in a lightweight Brisa weave and features a distinctive central crease, allowing it to roll effortlessly while retaining its shape — making it ideal for frequent travel.

A true icon of classic style, the Folding Panama has long been associated with renowned figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, admired for its practicality, sophistication, and enduring heritage.

  • Cuenca / Herringbone weave
  • Finer Cuenca 8/10 weave

Important Information

Please note that sizes 63 / 64 / 65 are available by special order and take approximately 1 week for delivery. These sizes are not eligible for next day delivery.

Due to the significantly finer weave required for larger sizes, these hats take considerably longer to complete and are therefore priced accordingly.

  • Brim size: Approx. 6.5cm / 2½”
  • Crown height: Approx. 11cm / 4¼”
    (Measurements are proportionally larger for larger hat sizes.)

    Beautifully made, too good to think about folding! I have an older panama from this company that I took on holiday recently and it retained its shape well after travelling.

    Beautiful hat, bought for my dad as a gift for him at my wedding in Tuscany and he loves it. You realise hats look good when you actually get a good hat! So I also got one myself, but the down trilby. Highly recommend and especially recommended a visit to the factory/shop in Luton where you'll get great help and see this amazing historic interesting place. Just check someone will be there or make an appt ?

    The hat looks as advertised and fits well without the need for padding out the hat band. The padding oddments of foam wouldn't have sufficed if needed. The material weave is lightweight and easily distorted during normal handling which is dissapointing given the cost of the hat and my long time experience of using one other hat.

    This is an excellent product, beautifully made and finished. I also had benefit of additional information and advice from Mavi by phone which was exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. It's rare today to find such outstanding service.
